Battle of Carabobo Day is a Venezuelan national public holiday celebrated on June 24.

Honoring both the key battle in the Venezuelan War of Independence and the nativity of Saint John the Baptist.

It is also referred to as Army Day.

The Battle of Carabobo was fought on June 24, 1821 during the Venezuelan War of Independence.

In the battle, independence fighters led by General Simón Bolívar defeated Spanish royalists led by Field Marshal Miguel de la Torre.

A decisive victory of Venezuelan patriots finally led to the recognition of the country's independence from Spain.
